2-day Introduction to Moksha Hot Yoga workshop
with Todd Canning
Day 1: The Standing Series
when: Saturday, September 10th, 2:00 pm to 3:30pm
Day 2: The Floor Series
when: Sunday, September 11th, 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Todd Canning, founder and director of Moksha Yoga Richmond Hill, will be providing you with an in-depth breakdown of all aspects of the Moksha hot Yoga series through this 2-day workshop.
On Day 1, we will cover the Standing series
(first half) of the Moksha sequence, and discuss specific details of
alignment, breath awareness, and creative technique to manage your hot
yoga environment. We will also be touching on the humble beginnings of
Moksha Yoga and the seven pillars on which Moksha Yoga was founded.
Day 2 of the workshop will cover the Floor series (second half)
of the Moksha sequence, as well as the pranayam and kapalabhati breathing
exercises, proper vinyasa sequencing and adding some extra emphasis on
backbending.
These workshops are perfect for those who are new
to Moksha yoga and for those who are experienced alike. As experienced
yogis we sometimes lose some of the fundamental elements of our
practice and here is a perfect way to reconnect with the foundations of
Moksha.

New Community Class on Monday at 6:30am
Beginning
in June the 6:30am on Monday mornings will now be a Community Moksha
class. The community class is an important part of the Moksha studios
as they provide our new teachers the opportunity to teach real classes
in order to gain experience and confidence in the yoga room. Our long
time student and new Moksha teacher Angela G will be taking on this
class on Monday mornings so try to drag your bread out of bed to come
out and support her! You can also catch Abigail teaching the community
classes on Saturdays at 6:30pm in June. The cost of the classes is
$9. These classes are all Moksha hot yoga classes!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THEA, TODD, AND KAI...

NOTES TO ALL OUR DEDICATED STUDENTS:
This includes all items of clothing, towels, water bottles, jewellry, bags, yoga mats and personal care products. We cannot house all the belongings left behind for too long or we'd have to rent out another unit to hold it all! :) So our policy is to keep lost and found items for a period of 24 hours from when they were found, and at the end of the day it is gathered and donated to a small local charity. If you have misplaced something and it may be at the studio, please check with our staff immediately as we are not responsible for those items. As a dedication and courtesy we make the utmost effort to keep them for the maximum of 24 hours. Thanks for your understanding and continued support.
If MYRH is your home studio, please note that the yoga room has a shelf on which you may keep (at your own risk) your yoga mat on between practises. THESE are NOT our rental mats - so if you rent mats from the studio please be sure to only take the purple mats in the reception area by the glass block wall (ask reception if you are unclear) and as usual leave them on the yoga room floor for us to clean for you. If you think you may have left your mat at the studio, please ask reception to take you to the lost and found mat area - NOT the mats in the yoga room. Again thanks for your understanding and help regarding mats.
Most of us have them, and most of us insist on using them day and night! (Todd and Thea included :) However, keep them in your vehicle while you are doing yoga if possible. If not, please make note that cell phones (for privacy reasons) MAY NOT BE USED IN THE CHANGEROOMS or YOGA ROOM.
Not even for texting! It may seem like a given but all too often we hear complaints at the front desk and by email of change-room cell phone use. Let's create a safe feeling and harmonious environment together.... Thank you.
